Once Dr. Collins has registered you for classes, you will receive a confirmation e-mail.  If you are taking a college transfer pathway course, you will need to purchase your materials.  These materials may be purchased at the campus bookstore.  If you are taking a CTE pathway course, your materials will be provided by the school system.  Your class will not be visible in Moodle until the start date of your course  If your class does not appear by 9:00 AM on the start date, please send Dr. Collins an e-mail, including your class and section number.  If your class is online or virtual, you will log into your class on the start date and complete an Enrollment Verification Activity (EVA).  This is mandatory because it lets the instructor know you have officially joined the class.  The EVA is a quiz with usually 4-5 questions.   However, it is not graded, and do not stress about this.   The sole reason for having this is to verify your enrollment in the class.

With the exception of a few CTE courses, most classes are online or virtual during the pandemic.   With online classes, you have the flexibility of logging in at any time of day or night.  However, due dates are not flexible!  Moodle requires tests and assignments have an open and a close date and time.  This means you must complete these assignments within the given window of time.   Virtual classes mandate specific attendance times each week, and attendance is required.  Some instructors do have late work policies, but some do not offer this option.   You will need to refer to your syllabus for this information.  A syllabus is a contract between the instructor and students.   The syllabus includes information such as required materials, learning objectives, office hours, contact information, and a grading scale.   Nash Community College adheres to a 10-point grading scale, and the weight of assignments will be included on syllabi.
